Virginia Veteran and Family Support is operated by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.
The Virginia Veteran and Family Support (VVFS) Justice Involved Services program provides resource connections for veterans across the criminal justice system continuum. The VVFS Veteran Justice Specialists (VJS) connect justice involved veterans to housing, employment, treatment, benefits, and other community resources. The VJS assists veterans in veteran treatment court dockets, incarcerated in jail and prison (120 days prior to release), and on community supervision.
If you are a justice-involved veteran that needs a connection to resources or are working with a justice-involved veteran that needs assistance, please contact the VVFS JIS program at (804) 225-4734 or email justice.vvfs@dvs.virginia.gov.
For more information on the Justice Involved Services (JIS) program, please see the brochure and video below.
