The Virginia Veteran and Family Support Program (VVFS) provides peer recovery (behavioral health) support for individuals and groups and linkages to counseling and treatment services to assist service members, veterans, families and caregivers as they address the challenges of life stressors, mental health and/or substance use needs, military service, transition, deployments, post-traumatic stress, and traumatic brain injuries.

VVFS does not provides crisis services. For support outside of business hours, please call the suicide and crisis lifeline any time of day or night by dialing 9-8-8.

Additional online support: VVFS has also partnered with the Cabana online platform to offer mental wellness groups and resource materials to all service members, veterans, and their families.
